FiveUXE Legal
Privacy Notice
We take your privacy seriously.
FiveUXE ("we", "us", "our") builds anti-cheat software that keeps FiveM servers fair. This Notice explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the control you have over it. Our mission, stopping cheaters, never requires us to exploit your personal information. Everything below is written to be read by a human, not just a lawyer.
In Short
- We never sell your personal data, to anyone, for any reason.
- Anti-cheat scanning is strictly scoped to cheat detection, nothing else.
- Forensic screen captures are encrypted and auto-deleted within 30 days.
- You hold full GDPR and CCPA rights, exercisable at any time.
01Information We Collect
We collect information in two contexts: from the server owners who subscribe to FiveUXE, and from the players who connect to a protected server.
From server owners
- Account information, such as your email address and Discord ID.
- Payment details, processed securely by our payment provider.
- Server configuration and settings.
- IP address and approximate location.
From players
- A device fingerprint, derived from your hardware and Windows installation identifiers.
- Your account identifiers: FiveM license, and where present Steam, Discord, and Xbox or Microsoft.
- IP address, connection and session metadata.
- Game-client integrity data used for cheat detection. See Section 02.
- If a server owner or our review team runs a Security Scan on a player, that player's public Discord profile and the Discord communities they share with us, checked against communities known for distributing cheats. We never read Discord messages.
02Anti-Cheat Data Collection
When you join a FiveM server running FiveUXE, that server loads a FiveUXE anticheat module (DLL) inside your FiveM game client for that session. You do not install anything, there is no separate program, and there is no kernel-level driver. It runs only while you are connected to a protected server.
What is sent to us
- Your account identifiers for that server: your FiveM license, and where present your Steam, Discord, and Xbox or Microsoft identifiers. Every FiveM server you join already receives these.
- A device fingerprint, built from your hardware and Windows installation identifiers. This is what stops a banned cheater from returning on a fresh account.
- Your IP address.
- Detection results: whether unauthorized code has been injected into the game, whether known cheat files or modified libraries are present (including the path where one was found), whether something is being drawn over the game, and which programs are attaching to the FiveM process.
- If a serious detection fires, a screenshot of the FiveM game window at that moment. A person reviews it before anyone is banned, so a false detection does not cost you your account. Deleted within 30 days.
What is never sent
- Your documents, photos, messages, or personal files. We check for known cheat files by name and signature. We do not read your files.
- Anything on your screen outside the FiveM game window. No desktop, no browser, no other applications.
- Data from inside your other programs. We can see that a program is interacting with the game. We do not look inside it.
- Keystrokes, microphone, camera, or browsing history. None of these are captured at any time.
Encrypted, and deliberately narrow
Everything the module sends leaves your machine over an encrypted connection and stays on access-controlled infrastructure that only authorized FiveUXE security staff can reach. Detection evidence, including screenshots, is readable only by the small team that reviews enforcement, and only for as long as a case is open.
The stronger protection is not the encryption, though. It is that the module is built to look for cheat software and nothing else, so your personal information is never picked up in the first place. It is of no use to us. We do not sell it, we do not advertise with it, and we have no interest in anything about you beyond whether the game is being tampered with.
If you are cheating, this system exists to find you. If you are just here to play, it has nothing to say about you.
How it is used, and how long we keep it
All of it is used for one purpose: detecting cheating and enforcing bans. It is never used for advertising and never sold. Screenshots are deleted within 30 days. Ban and identifier records are kept for as long as they are needed to keep the ban network effective. To ask what we hold about you, or to request deletion, contact us using the details in Section 15.
03How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to operate and protect the service:
- To provide and maintain anti-cheat protection.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to cheating.
- To maintain the integrity of our Global Ban Network.
- To improve our detection algorithms and accuracy.
- To communicate with you about your account and the service.
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
04Legal Bases for Processing
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a region with comparable law, we only process your personal data when we have a valid legal basis. The basis depends on the purpose:
- Performance of a contract: To deliver the anti-cheat service you or your server owner signed up for, including account management and processing payments.
- Legitimate interests: To detect cheating, secure our network, prevent fraud, and keep protected servers fair, balanced against your rights and expectations.
- Legal obligation: To comply with applicable laws, tax and accounting requirements, and lawful requests from competent authorities.
- Consent: Where required, for example certain non-essential cookies or communications, based on consent you can withdraw at any time.
06Global Ban Network
When a player is banned for cheating, their hardware identifier and ban metadata are shared across all servers in our Global Ban Network. This prevents known cheaters from re-joining any protected server under a new identity. Ban records are stored securely and retained for as long as needed to keep the network effective. This sharing is fundamental to the protection FiveUXE provides, and it does not include unrelated personal information.
07Data Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Notice:
- Account data: Retained while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
- Ban and HWID records: Retained for as long as needed to maintain Global Ban Network integrity.
- Visual telemetry: Retained for a maximum of 30 days after any associated review, then permanently deleted.
- Transaction data: Retained for up to 7 years to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- Logs and diagnostics: Automatically deleted after 90 days.
08Data Security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information:
- Encryption in transit: Sensitive data, including forensic telemetry, is transmitted over encrypted channels.
- Restricted access: Violation and telemetry data is accessible only to authorized FiveUXE security personnel.
- Hardened infrastructure: Data is processed on access-controlled monitoring infrastructure, segmented from public services.
- Least-data principle: We collect only what is needed for cheat detection and discard what we no longer need.
No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
09International Data Transfers
FiveUXE operates globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including by our service providers. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or transfers to jurisdictions recognized as providing adequate protection, so that your data continues to be protected to the standard described in this Notice.
10Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Opt out of the sale of data (we do not sell data).
- Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 15. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Please note that ban and HWID records may be retained after account deletion to preserve network security.
11Children's Privacy
FiveUXE is not directed to children under the age of 16, or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
13Third-Party Services
Some features rely on trusted third parties. When you interact with them, their own privacy policies apply to the data they handle:
- Discord: Used for authentication, support, and community. Governed by Discord's privacy policy.
- Payment provider: Processes your payment details securely. We do not store full card data.
- Email provider: Delivers transactional and account-related emails on our behalf.
