FiveM Teleport Hack Detection Explained (2026)

June 17, 2026· 7 min read· By Fiveuxe Research Team

The teleport hack is one of the oldest tricks in FiveM, and one of the hardest to police without false bans. A cheater warps across the map to rob a store, reach a heist instantly, or escape a chase, while your admins, garages, and interior scripts teleport players legitimately every minute. The job of a teleport anticheat is to tell those two apart, every single time.

Teleport cheats vs legit admin TP

The mechanic is identical on the surface: a player's coordinates change faster than walking or driving allows. The difference is the source. A legit teleport comes from a trusted server flow, an admin menu, a garage spawn, an interior door, or a respawn handler, all of which fire a known server event before the position changes. A cheat menu just rewrites the local entity coordinates and lets them sync up, with no authorized event behind it. If your detection only looks at distance, it cannot see that difference, and that is exactly why naive teleport scripts ban innocent players.

How position-delta detection works

Server-side teleport detection samples each player's position on a fixed interval and computes the distance moved since the last sample. Divide that distance by the time elapsed and you get an effective speed. If a player covers two kilometers in half a second, no car, plane, or sprint in the game could have done it, so the jump is impossible and gets scored. Because the math runs on the server using authoritative positions, a cheat that spoofs the client view cannot hide the real coordinates it has to sync. This is the same family of logic behind speed hack detection, the difference is that a teleport is a single instantaneous jump rather than sustained over-speed, and it often pairs with noclip when a cheater warps through geometry.

Whitelisting legit teleports to avoid false bans

  • 1. Trust the event, not just the distance. When an admin warp, garage, or interior script fires its server event, the matching position jump is expected and should be cleared automatically.
  • 2. Use a short grace window. After a known teleport event, allow the next position sample to land anywhere without scoring it, then resume normal delta checks.
  • 3. Account for spawn and respawn. Death, first connect, and instance changes all move a player far and fast through legitimate flows, so they need their own exemptions.
  • 4. Flag only the unauthorized jump. A position delta with no trusted event behind it is the real signal, and that is what should escalate to a ban, not raw distance alone.

Evidence: proving the teleport was a cheat

A ban that you cannot explain is a ban that gets appealed and reversed. Strong teleport detection records the before and after coordinates, the elapsed time, the calculated impossible speed, and whether any authorized event preceded the jump. Fiveuxe pairs this position trail with Screen & Snapshot Intelligence, a live screen capture taken at the moment of the flag, so you hold both the math and the picture. With that evidence in hand a teleport ban is defensible, and a legitimate admin warp is never mistaken for a cheat in the first place.

Across Fiveuxe's 27 detection modules, teleport scoring lives in the Movement & Combat layer alongside noclip and abnormal speed, while its Event Security firewall supplies the trusted-event context that keeps admin teleports whitelisted. When a cheater is confirmed, the Hive-Mind global ban network propagates that ban across 100+ servers in about 0.3 seconds, and Shadow-Link HWID identity enforcement keeps them from rejoining on a fresh account.

Every plan runs the full system, from $39/month. See what a flagged position jump and its evidence look like in the module breakdown, then license it in one restart.

FAQ

Will teleport detection false-ban my admins?

Not when it trusts the event behind the jump. Fiveuxe whitelists admin warps, garages, interiors, and respawns through its Event Security layer, so only unauthorized position jumps get scored.

Does teleport detection slow down players?

No. It runs server-side with a sub-millisecond client agent, so there is zero player FPS cost while every position update is checked in the background.
